i just updated a couple of my recent photos.
most of them are now available as prints in the shop and i also fixed the garbled format that was due to me framing all my photos. i got rid of that and therefore they are all back in 3:2

unless i declare my photos 'stock' they are not to be considered as such and i would like you to respect that and therefore not alter them in any way unless i have expressed my consent in WRITING.
you may however download my works and use them e.g. as wallpapers/screensavers or just make them part of your collection.

my gear:

camera:
canon eos 400d
+ cheap
+ 10mp resolution allows prints in great size
+ great high iso performance when using proper exposures
+ nice image quality
+ lots of nice gadgets (sensor cleaning, 2,5" display...)

- it is rather small and made out of plastic
- no spot metering
- dark & tiny viewfinder
- iso can only be increased in whole steps
- frequently underexposes photos in auto-modes (go manual )

lenses:
sigma 17-70 2,8-4,5
+ budget lens (cost me only 350€
+ quite unique range amongst rival lenses
+ built quality is awesome
+ very sharp throughout the range
+ great corner performance on the wide end
+ comes with a petal shaped hood (canon never seems to include hoods with their non-L lenses)
+ no rotating front element -> using polarizers is fun

- slight softness @ 2,8 (this issue however resolves after stopping down)
- aps-c only -> cannot be used on FF cameras

canon ef 70-200 f4 L
+ incredibly sharp (L glass really is a great step forward from any non-L lens)
+ amazing built quality
+ bokeh is amazing!
+ overall image quality outshines all of the lenses that i owned before
+ white color really gets you a lot of attention

- renders the owner an instant L-coholic (kiss your money good-bye)

accessories:
a tiffen uv filter for my 70-200
- is virtually useless but it came with the lens so who cares

a hama circular polarizer for my 17-70
- is great when it comes to increasing the sky's contrast and to giving the clouds more definition. it also get's rid of nasty reflections on a variety of surfaces

a lowepro nova 4aw bag
- easily stores all my gear, keeps it dry and protects it against all the bad aspects of nature

shoppinglist:
canon eos 5d (fullframe )
canon ef 17-40 f4 L (as my 17-70 will not work on the 5d)
manfrotto 190xprob pro tripod + ballhead (because i really need one for long exposure landscape shots)
lee filter holder + nd & nd grad filters (for landscape shots that divide the boys from the men )
